Antonia Antrobus-Higgins, Imran Awan and Sara Hussain shortlisted for the Mo Siewcharran Prize
This year’s Mo Siewcharran prize is focused on non-fiction, under the theme “Reclaiming History”.
The six shortlisted authors include Antrobus-Higgins for Filling in the Blanks, alongside Awan for When Will We Talk About Islamophobia?. They are joined by Sara Hussain for I Spit on Honour, and Yin F Lim for The Ties That Bind. Zahrah Nesbitt-Ahmed has also been shortlisted for Sunana, alongside Rajan Sharma for Tokyo Boys.
This year’s shortlisted titles combine personal narrative and history, spanning topics such as the Indian Ocean, Islamaphobia and the cultural intricacies of “Reputation” in South Asia.
